TIN PLATED STRIPS
Poongsan supplies tin-plated sheets and strips that function
very well as an electric connector or a terminal in electric, electronic
or telecommunications equipment. For continuous tin-plating operation,
there is a modern, electric luster-tin plating line of the coil-to-coil
(CTC) type at the Onsan plant. Products are of high quality, with excellent
luster and uniformly plated thickness. Copper alloy sheets are electrically
tin-plated and their surface is treated with a heated reflow. It is therefore
not necessary for Poongsan's customers to carry out the tin-plating themselves,
which may cause side effects. This technique greatly helps them to become
more competitive. The reflow treatment, in particular, eliminates the
whisker, which may cause accidents due to electric leakage. Very stable,
ultra-precision parts are produced in this way
